In recent years, various companies have been intensively exploring the potential of autonomous drones. The use of electrically powered passenger drones in just a few years seems increasingly realistic. Young start-up companies in this field are increasingly aiming for the international capital markets in order to be able to accelerate the development of market-ready models. The shift of urban mobility into the third dimension - into the airspace - offers fundamental advantages, but at the same time still poses a number of challenges.
